Our children are #Fruitful



“Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks - Deuteronomy 28:4.


God’s mandate for fruitfulness is not only for us but also for our children and the generations after them. As we can see in the scripture, God is mindful of us and everything that pertains to us - children, farm products, herds, cattle and even the offspring of the flock.

Psalms 128:3 also states that "Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table."

Our children shall be like olive plants all around our table. Olive plants are not for decoration. They are planted and expected to bear fruit. And indeed Olive plants bear fruit. Our children shall be fruitful in every good work in Jesus name.

It is essential to let our children understand God’s expectation for their lives. They need to know about God’s mandate for fruitfulness for themselves and their children. From a very young age begin to tell them about God’s desire for them to be fruitful. Help them to walk along the path of life and righteousness because that is where He has purposed to bring forth His blessing upon them. There are children within the sphere of our influence who also need to hear it. Make sure you speak into their lives as the opportunity arises.

God’s plans for our children is more than what we currently see. Our children are not created to be vandals, truants, murderers, but they are created to show forth the glory of God everywhere they go. And this is fruitfulness.

Prophesy into their lives until you get results. Don’t give up on them even if you don’t think that things will change. Lay hands on them and bless them if possible. Remind God of His blessing over their lives. Even if you are still trusting God for the fruit of the womb, you can prophesy ahead of your children’s arrival.


Prayer points
Thank God for the gift of your children and every child in the circle of your influence

Name them (l hope a waiting mother catches this), and bless them individually

Pray that the Lord will prosper them in all their aspirations - for instance, in their finances, spirituality, academics, relationships, health, career and more

Pray that your children will be fruitful members of the family and society
